Excalibur Drilling Ltd. was formed as a private Canadian Corporation in 1995. The company owns and operates nine telescopic double drilling rigs and operates primarily in Alberta and western Saskatchewan.

Excalibur has constructed nine new rigs since 1995. These rigs are capable of drilling conventional, directional, horizontal and under balanced wells, to a depth of 2500 meters. These rigs are competitive in 850 metre to 2500 metre depth range.
Excalibur has since its inception attained rig utilization that is consistently among the highest in the drilling industry. Excalibur has received industry recognition for its safety record in every fiscal year since its inception from the Canadian Association of Drilling Contractors.

The management group of Excalibur have been independent contractors for the past seventeen years. We have earned strong customer loyalties by providing superior equipment, quality people, and continuous service. This management group is composed of the following people:
Dennis Hemsing - President
- Over thirty years of contract drilling experience
- Including co-ownership in Hemsing Drilling Ltd. (1975-86), Paragon Drilling Ltd. (1987-94) and Excalibur Drilling Ltd. (1995-

Robert Block (C.E.T.)  - General Manager
- Twenty five years of rig operational and rig management experience.
- Including co-ownership of Paragon Drilling Ltd. (1987-94) and Excalibur Drilling Ltd. (1995- present)
   
Garth Evans - Contracts Manager
- Has 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry; including 4 years in contracts with Excalibur Drilling, also managed
  Dolphin Drilling Ltd for seven years, responsible for all aspects of the company
- Spent several years in operations and drilling management with oil and gas producing companies
   
Kevin Rockabar - Contracts Manager
- Over 28 years of drilling experience
- 5 years as a rig manager for Excalibur Drilling Ltd.
   
Andy Wurtz - Operations Manager
- Thirty years of rig operational and rig management experience.
   
Roger McLeod (CRSP) - Manager, Safety & Environment
